No matter the position, every employee at HARMAN is expected to demonstrate our core competencies:  leadership, change-orientation, collaboration, judgment and a results-driven mindset.  At HARMAN, we expect brilliance.  You can expect a career full of brilliant possibilities.    Position Summary: This position Head, Luxury Audio, BU is responsible for the strategic direction and management of all Luxury Audio products and business results.  Including product road mapping functions, market competitiveness, pricing, and channel strategy for Harman's Luxury audio products.  The position will drive and be responsible for Harman's Luxury audio revenue and profitability goals and P&L results.    Supervisory Responsibilities: The position will have 4 direct reports and 32 indirect reports.   Job Responsibilities: The role will be responsible for managing and directing the execution of Harman Consumer Luxury audio products by working with our seven global Harman regional sales teams.  In addition to being accountable for the management of the BU growth and profitability, this role is responsible for all plans and strategies for other new market & new channel business development.  Luxury audio offers product brands of JBL, Revel, Mark Levinson, Lexicon, and Arcam in the high-end markets.      Itemized Responsibilities: Qualifies new product concepts with selected customers and determines the development of Channel Strategy within Harman's Category and Brand business plans.  Responsible for monitoring and reporting relevant competitive activity in the marketplace. Works very closely with BU Global Product Line Manager on product strategy and roadmaps. Conducts regularly scheduled BU/category business reviews with key select customers to ensure alignment to Harman direction and pricing, and to provide Customer and Market insight back to Customer Marketing and the Global Product Line Managers.  Develop and execute sales plan as part of Harman's operating plan providing detailed and accurate sales forecasts.  Responsible for weekly forecasts to achieve goals of the business. Accountable for bridge to forecasts vs. actual results globally.  Integrate marketing and sales functions working with C-Level executives that are responsible for sales and marketing functions to develop and execute distribution plans for existing and new products. Hire key BU team members to drive sales, marketing, activation and events to drive growth Develop, drive and direct information and data related to key customers and new prospects. Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions to remain in front of market changes and trends. Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful channel and partner programs to drive sell-through and optimize profitability. Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.   Basic Qualifications: Disciplined and passionate product leader with the ability to achieve high growth sales results. Experience with Luxury audio products is highly desired, experience in consumer products is required. Practical multichannelexperience in both brick and click is a plus. Experience managing a P&L of at least $100M USD on a global basis.  Excellent financial acumen. Experience leading high growth global product categories especially in US, Europe and Asia. Strong oral and written communications skills. Outstanding consultative selling abilities and interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners. Proven evangelical sales track record in a new product/new market environment. Ability to work collaboratively with C-Level executives to create results driven, team oriented culture. Minimum of B.S. in Business (Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or equivalence). Advanced degree is preferred, not required.  Requires a minimum of 10 years experience, candidates with 15+ year of experience are encouraged to apply.   Preferred Qualifications: Results-Driven:  Having a proactive, goal oriented approach to decision making. Willingness to work in an office in Northridge, CA. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
