Sr. Financial Analyst

This position is responsible for financial accounting and reporting for new business in Consumer Global entity specifically related to Samsung direct business activities and sales related transactions in global reporting entity.  This position demands a mix of strategic, forecasting and transactional capabilities, with a firm understanding of accounting practices includeing GAAP and IFRS risk management as it applies to contract management. The position is critical in supporting reporting and tracking of proper accounting, forecasting and allocations of all Inter Company Samsung business and acts as main Finance liaison both internally in Harman and within Samsung for coordination and consistent reporting.    Job Responsibilities: Leads the financial accounting and close for all sales activity for unique global activity that is transacted through global SAP Company Code. Manage intercompany reporting, accounting and forecasting between Harman and Samsung; Main liaision between Harman and Samsung and escalation of issues as necessary; Ensure compliance with Harman Accounting Policies (SEGAM), GAAP and IFRS as required; Particpate in monthly rolling forecast and annual mid term planning for this business activity; Ablitily to interface with management at all levels and work cross functionally with Legal, Tax and Corporate Accounting; Prepare P&L and Balance Sheet statements and related gap analysis compared to Plan and Forecast; Expense tracking and reporting; Review of pricing complicance with contractual agreements; Work to support Supply Chain and forecast "lock periods" and related tracking; Allocation of global P&L results to related regions to report and track consolidated regional results   Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Finance/Accountingdegree, CPApreferred Proven 5-7 years of working experience in a dynamic and fast changing multinational corporation Proficiency with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) SAP experience Excellent communication skills Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to effectively manage multiple, complex tasks and conflicting priorities Good time - management skill to meet the tight schedule and deadline Motivated and proactive Teamwork attitude and be flexible and work under pressure Self starter with proven ability to drive business activity independently and raise rekebant issues as needed Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS   Preferred Qualifications: CPA or Chartered Accountant designation Preferred Professional certification such as CFCM or CPCM Preferred Experience with BPC 5 years in Consumer Electronics or Consumet Products   Eligibility Requirements: Willingness to travel. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
