Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
The mission of Project Kuiper's Government Solutions (KGS) is to leverage Kuiper and provide high speed, low latency, and secure satellite broadband services to United States and allied government customers.
We have an immediate opening for a Chief Information Systems Manager to support the Kuiper Government Solutions (KGS) team focusing on cyber security implementation and strategy aligning with our U.
S.
Government customers such as NASA, DoD, and National Security.
As a Chief Information Systems Manager, you will perform a pivotal role in defining and implementing customer-oriented strategies to scale and manage the KGS cyber security program that is compliant with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
You will work with the KGS Security team to develop policies and procedures, establishing a secure infrastructure for a Secure Network Operations Center (SNOC), and evaluate system architecture and design to determine the adequacy of the architecture in proposed responses to RFI's/RFP's.
The ideal candidate will possess appropriate experience and the necessary clearances to work with the defense and intelligence communities.
They will possess a deep industry background that enables them to engage and communicate effectively in a wide range of technical and business discussions with internal Kuiper colleagues, aerospace/satellite partner organizations, and end customers.
The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical business units, as well as across multiple geographies.
Successful members of this team shall collaborate effectively to solve data and operational problems, implement new reporting solutions, and deliver successfully against high operational standardsThe best candidates will have foundational knowledge of cyber security policies related to the NISP and relevant US government agencies for satellite programs.
They will be able to lead development of a strategic KGS Information System strategy and ensure various KGS and Kuiper teams are aligned.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person with deep customer focus that can scale our program to meet the demands of multiple customers.
Excellent communications skills and strategic planning skills are a must.
This position will report to the KGS Security manager.
Key job responsibilitieso Develop/integrate cybersecurity designs for systems and networks with multilevel security requirements and requirements for the processing of multiple classification levels of data primarily applicable to government organizationso Provide support to KGS in identifying relevant government cyber requirements and develop inputs for Kuiper level controls and recommend improvementso Document and address organization's information security, cybersecurity architecture, and systems security engineering requirements throughout the acquisition life cycleo Developing a Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) in order to mitigate any found susceptibilities and vulnerabilities that risk the security posture of the system.
o Support business development, review and provide input to RFI's and RFP's and author security volumes as neededo Facilitate and conduct briefings to internal and external KGS partners on cybersecurity requirements and standards to operate on US government contractso Evaluate system architectures and designs to determine the adequacy of security design and architecture proposed or provided in response to requirements contained in RFIs/RFPso Design Cloud Security in compliance to Department of Defense (DoD) Impact Level (IL5) for Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) Network Boundaryo Responsible for the local Host Based Security System (HBSS) implementation and operation o Assist with Security Awareness, Training and Education programo Create cyber artifacts which include building a System Security Plan (SSPs), Test Plans & Procedures (TPPs), an Architectural Analysis Report (AAR), Security Controls Traceability Matrix (SCTM) and a Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM)Security Clearance:
Candidates must have active US Government security clearance of TS/SCI and be able to maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, so you must be a U.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
